2025 Camping Fees: $30 per night per unit
As of 2025 there will no longer be a discount for RFGA Members.

Email or Facebook is not accepted for reservations and/or cancellations as it is
not monitored by our caretakers, who handle all the campground bookings.
Directions: Open Creek Dam Campground is located 32 km West of Rimbey along Hwy. 53. (Google Link)
Deposit and Payment: Since 2023, we required a non-refundable $30 deposit that will go towards your first night of camping. For campground fees, we prefer payment via credit card or debit card. A cancellation notice of 72 hours is requested to ensure we can provide the spot to another camper.
Speed Limit: There is a 15km speed limit throughout the entire campground. For the safety of everyone, you must follow this speed limit as we have campsites all along the road.
Gates: The gates to enter are open at 7am and are locked at 10pm each day. Day use and visitors must be out by 10pm.
Camping Units: 54 of all size sites, tent only sites, as well as several group sites (NO hookups).
Open Creek Dam Campground offers the following: Site Amenities for Basic Camping/No Hookups, Group Campsites, Day-Use Areas, Caretaker on-site, locked entry gate at night, Clean Bathrooms, Picnic Shelter with stove, Water-Pump with fresh cold spring water, Wheelchair Access, Boat Launches, Canoeing, Kayaking, Boats with electric motors allowed, Horseshoe pits, Playgrounds, Fire pits, Firewood (for purchase), Picnic Tables, Sani-Dump, Hiking Trails and lots of wildlife viewing opportunities.
Boating: Boats with electric motors (trolling motors) are allowed, NO gas motors are allowed.
Horses and Off Highway Vehicles: There are NO horses or off highway vehicles allowed on the premises of Open Creek Dam Campground.
